Bursting With Colour

Rossiters' creative director Ann-Marie James looks forward to a flamboyant Spring, with tropical colour influencing everything from wallpaper to rugs.

This year’s Spring interiors collections are bursting with colour, with the Anna range by Manuel Canovas leading the charge. From the rich embroidered herringbones to the multi-coloured velvets, design doesn’t get much bolder. Our design team love them and starting from £98 per metre they won’t break the bank. Designers Guild are also leading the way with delightful printed velvets adding colour and richness. Matthew Williamson’s new wallpaper range from Osborne & Little offers a riot of tropical splendour after the long cold winter. 

The emergence of big bold - occasionally clashing colours – is also reflected in this season’s must have accessories. Stylised images of the iconic characters are still featuring heavily on home accessories. Rossiters’ choice of cushions featuring Mexican artist Frida Kahlo have been a huge success. Faritrade handmade rugs from recycled materials are a simple way to add a blast of colour and help the planet at the same time.
